Online ordering for bakeries and caterers
For bakeries, pastry shops and caterers, we build online ordering with pickup slots, a custom-cake request form and quote requests for events. Customers choose, set a date and pay, or put the details in writing. You plan tomorrow's production tonight and stop taking orders on scraps of paper at the counter.
Typical problems
- Orders arrive by phone, by message and at the counter, and one is easily lost
- Birthday-cake requests come in without the size, flavour or date
- There is no way to know the night before how much to bake for tomorrow's orders
- Catering enquiries take several rounds of messages before a quote is possible
Suggested bundle
- Online orders with pickup slots
- Custom-cake requests
- Catering quote requests
From shop window to order
Most of a bakery's work happens before the door opens, so the most useful thing is knowing the night before what is already sold. With online ordering, customers pick their bread, savouries or box of pastries, choose a pickup time and pay. By early evening, tomorrow's production list is ready and grouped by product.
At the counter, orders are collected by name or order number. If a customer is running late or wants another time, they change it from the link in their e-mail rather than calling.
Cakes that arrive well described
A vague birthday-cake order can mean three phone calls and a surprise on the day. The form walks the customer through each choice, shows examples of your work and will not go further without a date and the number of servings. You can also set a minimum notice per type of cake, so nobody asks for a wedding cake for tomorrow.
Catering with a clear brief
For catering, we build a dedicated page showing the formats you offer, such as coffee breaks, business lunches or private parties, and a quote request that collects what you need to reply. Requests reach you by e-mail and, if you like, your CRM.
If you also sell packaged goods for delivery, such as biscuits, jams or Christmas hampers, an online store can share the same catalogue. See how digital menus and online ordering work, too.
Frequently asked questions
Can I cap the number of orders per pickup slot?
Yes. You set how many orders each slot takes and the cut-off time for next-day orders. Once a slot is full, customers only see the ones still open.
Can customers send a photo of the cake they have in mind?
They can. The custom-cake form accepts reference images and asks for servings, flavour, filling, decoration, allergies and date. You get the full request and reply with a proposal or with specific questions.
Can I take a deposit on made-to-order cakes?
Yes. Once you confirm the request, you can send a payment link for the deposit by card, MB WAY, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The cake only goes into production once it is paid, which avoids orders nobody collects.
What if I only cater for companies?
Then the quote request becomes the heart of the website. It asks for the type of event, guest numbers, venue, date and dietary needs, so you can send a first proposal without a long back-and-forth.
