Payment integrations

Mollie integration for stores and bookings

We integrate Mollie into the online stores, booking systems and subscriptions of small and medium-sized businesses selling in Portugal and across Europe. Each customer finds the methods they know from their own country at checkout, alongside card, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payments confirm the order or the booking automatically and all sit in one dashboard.

Built for selling across Europe

Mollie is a European payment provider used mostly by small and medium-sized businesses. Its strength is local methods: a customer in the Netherlands pays with iDEAL, one in Belgium with Bancontact, another in Germany with SEPA Direct Debit or Klarna. They all see card, Apple Pay and Google Pay as well.

If you are starting to sell outside Portugal, this saves signing up with a provider in every country. Once a method is approved on your account, you switch it on in the dashboard and checkout starts showing it to customers in that market.

How we connect Mollie to your business

In an online store, the customer picks a method, pays, and the order is marked as paid without anyone lifting a finger. In a booking system, the payment confirms the appointment and the customer gets the details by e-mail. If a booking is cancelled in time, the refund follows the rules you set.

Mollie's webhooks tell your system about every change: payment approved, expired, failed or refunded. Stock, orders and invoices then follow what actually happened, not what the customer says they did.

Mollie also handles recurring charges, by card or by direct debit. That covers monthly plans, membership fees and ongoing services, with a notice to the customer when a charge fails. For sales agreed over the phone, your team creates a payment link and sends it, and the record lands in the same dashboard as your website sales.

When to choose Mollie

Mollie makes sense for businesses that want a simple dashboard and several European markets without technical headaches. If you only sell in Portugal, a Portuguese provider may be enough. If you need more advanced software billing, Stripe is usually the better fit. We help you decide before any code is written.

Frequently asked questions

Does Mollie accept MB WAY and Multibanco?

At the start of the project we confirm which Portuguese methods Mollie offers for your account. Where they don't cover what you need, we add a Portuguese provider such as Easypay, Eupago, ifthenpay or SIBS to the same checkout. See MB WAY, Multibanco and card payments.

How is Mollie different from Stripe?

Both cover cards, wallets and European methods. Mollie has a simpler dashboard and is strongly focused on European small and medium-sized businesses. Stripe has more tools for complex subscriptions and software products. We compare the two against your numbers before choosing.

How much does Mollie cost?

Mollie's fees apply, and they vary by payment method. We explain the ones that apply to you in the proposal. Our own work is on request, quoted for each project. Request a quote

Can I issue refunds myself?

Yes. Refunds are made in the Mollie dashboard or, if we integrate it, from the store's back office. The order is updated and the customer gets the money back through the method they paid with.
