Payment integrations

Shopify and WooCommerce stores

We set up Shopify and WooCommerce stores for businesses that prefer a well-known e-commerce platform to a custom-built store. We handle the theme, the products, payments by card, MB WAY, Multibanco, Apple Pay and Google Pay, shipping and invoicing. The store is ready to sell and your team knows how to run it.

A well-known platform, set up properly

Shopify and WooCommerce are two of the most widely used e-commerce platforms. According to Wmtips, Shop Pay, Shopify's fast checkout, appears on 27% of websites that use a payment service. For many businesses, starting on one of these platforms makes sense: the team finds tutorials, apps and other stores doing the same thing.

The problem is rarely the platform; it is the setup. Heavy themes, half-configured payment methods, wrong shipping rates and invoices issued by hand cost sales and time. Our job is to get all of that right before the first customer arrives.

Payments that fit Portugal

Portuguese customers expect to pay with MB WAY and Multibanco, and the platforms don't always include them out of the box. We install and test Portuguese providers' extensions, so the order is marked as paid on its own once the customer confirms on their phone or pays the reference.

Alongside them sit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay, through Shop Pay and Shopify's own payments or WooPayments on WooCommerce, where available, with PayPal as a method of its own. Stores selling abroad can also offer Klarna and buy now, pay later.

The rest of the store

We import products with photos, variants and stock, set shipping rates by zone and connect carriers to print labels. Invoices are issued by certified software, such as InvoiceXpress or Moloni, as soon as the order is paid.

Platform or custom-built

A platform is the right choice for many catalogues. When the business needs rules of its own, a custom online store may serve it better. If you sell fashion, see also our work for fashion boutiques.

Frequently asked questions

Shopify or WooCommerce, which should I choose?

Shopify is a hosted platform, with no server to maintain and automatic updates. WooCommerce runs on WordPress, on your own hosting, and gives you more freedom to change everything. We choose based on your catalogue, the team that will run the store and what you already have.

Can the store take MB WAY and Multibanco?

Yes. Portuguese providers such as Easypay, Eupago and ifthenpay offer extensions for these platforms. We pick the one that suits the store and test the whole flow, from the reference to the confirmed payment. See MB WAY, Multibanco and card payments.

What does the platform cost?

Shopify charges a monthly plan and, depending on the plan, fees per sale. WooCommerce is free but needs hosting and often paid extensions. The payment provider's fees also apply. We explain all of it in the proposal. Our own work is on request. Request a quote

When is a custom-built store the better choice?

When the business has rules the platforms don't handle well, such as per-customer pricing, product configurators or a deep ERP connection. In those cases, a custom online store usually ends up simpler in the long run. We tell you honestly which option fits better.

Can you move my current store to Shopify or WooCommerce?

Yes. We migrate products, customers and, where possible, order history, and redirect the old addresses to the new ones to limit any loss of search visibility.
