Online stores for fashion boutiques

For fashion labels and boutiques, we build online stores where every piece shows the sizes and colours in stock, a size guide shoppers can trust and a clear way to exchange or return. The same products appear in your Instagram shop without uploading them twice. Customers pick the right size with more confidence, and fewer parcels come back.

Typical problems

  • Shoppers send messages asking whether a medium is still available before they buy
  • Stock in the shop and stock online drift apart, and a piece that has already gone gets sold again
  • Returns arrive by e-mail with no form, and each one is handled differently
  • Launching a new collection on the website and on Instagram means days of repeated work

What a fashion store has to get right

  • Variants handled properly. Every colour and size combination has its own stock, photos and product code.
  • Fit information that helps. Charts per style, notes on the cut and the size the model is wearing.
  • Search and filters. By size, colour, fabric and occasion, or with smart search that understands requests such as "linen dress for a summer wedding".
  • Click and collect. Shoppers buy online and pick up in the boutique, where they may try on something else.
  • Room for the legal information. Space for your terms, a link to the electronic complaints book and clear information on the right to cancel online purchases.

A collection launch, start to finish

A new autumn collection arrives on a Monday. The boutique photographs it, adds each piece with its price, colours and sizes, and schedules the launch. At ten on Thursday morning the collection goes live on the website and in the Instagram shop at the same moment, since both read from one catalogue. Posts take shoppers straight to the item, ready to choose a size.

Over the weekend, a jumper sells out in small. Its page now shows that size as unavailable and invites shoppers to leave their e-mail for a restock alert.

Returns that stay manageable

Customers start a return from their account, pick the item and the reason, and receive the shipping instructions. The boutique sees every request in one list with its status, and refunds go back through the original payment method. Reasons are recorded too: if one style keeps coming back as too small, its size chart needs another look.

Room to grow

You can start with a well-organised online store. Selling abroad, sale campaigns with discount codes or SEO for the categories people search most can follow later. If you are still weighing a ready-made platform against a custom build, our e-commerce consulting helps you decide.

Frequently asked questions

Can the shop floor and the online store share one stock count?

Yes. If the boutique takes payments at the till with a card reader linked to the online store, every sale comes off the same inventory. If you already use invoicing or stock software, we connect the store to it rather than keeping a second record.

How do the size guides work?

Each style can have its own measurement chart, because a slim cut and a relaxed cut fit differently. Next to the chart, the product page can show the model's height and the size she is wearing, which is often what helps most.

Can a customer swap for another size instead of returning?

Yes. When starting a return, the customer chooses a refund or an exchange. For an exchange, the new size is held while the original piece travels back, and the boutique approves each request before it goes ahead.

I already sell through Instagram. Do I need an online store?

Instagram is great for showing the collection, but selling through direct messages does not scale and you do not own the profile. With a store of your own, posts link straight to the product and payment happens on your site by card, MB WAY, Multibanco, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

How much does an online store for a boutique cost?

That depends on the size of the catalogue, whether the shop till is connected and which integrations you choose. We look at how you sell today and then prepare a quote for your project. Request a quote
