Apps for personal trainers and nutritionists

For personal trainers and nutritionists, we build an app under your brand where each client gets their training or meal plan, logs their progress and books the next session or consultation. Sessions, packages and monthly coaching are paid online. You stop sending PDFs over WhatsApp and see, on one screen, who is on track and who needs a nudge.

Typical problems

  • Plans go out as PDFs or spreadsheets and get buried in WhatsApp chats
  • You only find out whether a client stuck to the plan at the next session, a week later
  • Billing session packs and monthly fees means mental arithmetic and awkward reminders
  • Progress photos, measurements and food diaries arrive scattered across e-mails and messages
  • Remote clients, in another city or another country, need the same attention as the ones you see in person

Suggested bundle

A week of coaching

On Monday morning, a personal trainer's client opens the app and sees the day's workout, with a video for each exercise and last week's weights. She logs her sets as she goes. On Wednesday, her trainer notices she skipped leg day and sends a short message through the app.

Across town, a nutritionist receives Friday's check-in from a client she coaches remotely in London: weight, waist measurement and photos of his meals. She adjusts his meal plan, which lands in his app before the weekend with the shopping list already updated.

What the app does for your practice

  • A library of exercises or recipes, with plans built from templates
  • Logs for workouts, measurements, photos and food diaries, with progress charts
  • A diary for in-person sessions and video consultations
  • Messaging between client and coach, kept apart from your personal WhatsApp
  • Packages, monthly plans and renewal reminders
  • An intake questionnaire the client fills in before the first session

Working solo or with a team

An independent personal trainer often starts with a branded installable web app that clients add to their phone without going through an app store. A studio with several trainers, or a nutrition practice with several dietitians, needs to assign clients, see everyone's diary and share a client portal. When the goal is the App Store and Google Play, or reading data from fitness watches, we build a mobile app.

Frequently asked questions

Is my clients' health data protected?

Weight, measurements, allergies and eating habits are health data, which GDPR treats as a special category. So we design the app around each client's explicit consent, access limited to whoever coaches them, and the option for clients to ask for their data to be deleted. If you want to go further, we run a security and GDPR review.

Can I build plans from templates?

Yes. You build a library of exercises, with video and coaching cues, or of meals and recipes, then create plans from templates you tailor to each client. A change to a plan reaches the client's app straight away, with no new PDF.

Does it work for online coaching?

Yes. Clients send a weekly check-in from the app with measurements, photos and a note on how the week went, and you reply with changes to the plan. Video consultations sit in the same diary as in-person ones, and the link goes out with the reminder.

How do I charge for packages and monthly coaching?

You can sell session packs, monthly coaching plans or one-off consultations, paid by card, MB WAY, Multibanco, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Monthly plans renew on their own and each booked session is deducted from the pack, so neither of you keeps count.

How much does an app like this cost?

The figure comes from a proposal written for you, based on how many clients you coach, whether you need a native app or a web app, and what you want at launch. Request a quote
