Installable web apps (PWA)
An installable web app (PWA) is a website that behaves like an app. People add it to their home screen from the browser, it opens full screen and it keeps working offline. It is a sensible first step before a full app, with one build for iPhone, Android and desktop and no app-store commission.
An app without the app stores
Plenty of businesses want a spot on their customers' home screens but don't need everything a store app involves: two versions, a review for every update and commission on some sales. An installable web app delivers much of the same experience from a single build. Customers open your website, tap install and the icon sits next to their other apps.
Fast, even on a weak signal
A PWA stores what it needs on the device so it opens instantly. In a packed restaurant, a sports hall or a building site with no coverage, the main screens stay available. We work on speed from day one, because a slow web app gets deleted quickly.
Common features
- Ordering, with one-tap repeat of past orders
- A membership card with a QR code
- Timetables, calendars and change alerts
- Forms that fill in offline and send later
- Payments by MB WAY, Apple Pay and Google Pay
A good first step
For many projects, a PWA is the right place to start. For a restaurant, it can bring together a digital menu and online ordering. For a new product, it is often the quickest way to build an MVP for startups. If usage grows and asks for more, it can evolve into a mobile app.

Frequently asked questions
How is a PWA different from an app-store app?
A PWA installs from the browser and never goes through the App Store or Google Play. That avoids commission and review delays, and one version serves every device. The trade-off is more limited access to some phone features, especially on iPhone.
Do notifications work on iPhone?
Yes, as long as the user adds the web app to their home screen and agrees to notifications. On Android and desktop they also work straight from the browser. We show your customers how to install it from inside the web app itself.
Does it really work without internet?
The tasks we agree are essential work offline, such as viewing saved data, filling in forms or checking the latest menu. Anything done offline is sent automatically once the connection is back.
Can I move to a native app later?
You can. A PWA lets you test real usage with a smaller investment. If you later need features only a mobile app can offer, the design and the back-end logic carry over.
Will the web app show up on Google?
Yes. A PWA is still a website, with its own address for every page, so Google can find it like any other.
