Consulting

IT and digital strategy consulting

IT and digital strategy consulting helps your company decide which technology to invest in, in what order and to what end. It is for SMEs that feel their software, spreadsheets and processes no longer keep up with the business, but don't know where to start. You get a diagnosis of what you have today and a prioritised roadmap you can follow with us or with another team.

Decide before you buy

Many companies invest in technology one tool at a time, as problems come up. The result is software that doesn't talk to each other, licences nobody uses and processes that depend on a single person. A digital strategy looks at the whole picture before you spend more. Knowing what not to do is often the most valuable part.

A roadmap you can actually follow

The roadmap isn't a list of trends. Every step has a concrete goal, such as invoicing faster, replying to customers sooner or no longer copying data between systems, and an order that respects how much change your team can take on. It is clear what depends on what, what can be done with tools you already have and where building something is worth it.

Common topics

  • Choosing between an off-the-shelf ERP and a custom management platform
  • Connecting the tools you already have instead of replacing them
  • Reviewing security, backups and former employees' access
  • Getting the company ready to take enquiries and payments online
  • Assessing supplier proposals against technical criteria

From strategy to project

You can start with a strategy session and, roadmap in hand, move on to a first project. That might be integrating your existing software, a new platform or ongoing technical guidance from a fractional CTO. If your question is narrower, such as security or accessibility, the rest of our consulting work may fit better.

What you get

  • A review of the tools, software and processes you use today
  • A map of where time is lost, where data is duplicated and where the risks are
  • Options for each need, comparing buying, adapting or building
  • A phased technology roadmap, with goals and dependencies
  • Investment priorities, showing what to do first and what can wait
  • A written report and a presentation session with management

  • SMEs about to invest in digital who want to get it right first time

Frequently asked questions

How does it start?

You can start with a strategy session or a full diagnosis, both of which are paid. Either way you receive a document that is yours to use, whether you go ahead with us, another supplier or your own team. If you continue with us, it becomes the foundation of the project.

Will you always recommend custom software?

No. When off-the-shelf software solves the problem well, we recommend it and explain why. Building something bespoke only makes sense where the way you work is a competitive advantage, or where nothing on the market fits.

What do you need from us?

A list of the tools you use, read-only access to some of them and a few hours with the people who know each process best. We don't need your customers' personal data to carry out the review.

How long does it take?

It depends on the size of the company and the number of processes involved. The timeline is set out in the proposal before we start, and we agree interview dates with you so day-to-day work isn't disrupted.

Can you help us decide where to use AI?

Yes. The review points out where AI can save time and where it isn't worth it. For team training and AI Act compliance, we offer a dedicated consulting service.

How much does it cost?

Every project is quoted by hand from your requirements, so pricing is on request. Tell us roughly how large the company is and what is worrying you today. Request a quote

Shall we talk about your project?

Tell us what you have in mind and what you want to achieve.
